Welcome to Dovecote Pre-School Playgroup
Our aim is to provide for children of pre-school age a broad, balanced curriculum which meets his/her needs in a safe, secure and stimulating educational environment.
Dovecote is registered with the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) and the North Yorkshire County Council so you can be confident that we have met clear standards designed by the Government to provide an excellent education for your child.
Children are welcomed into the group once they have reached their 2nd birthday. From the term following their 3rd birthday , a child will be entitled to up to 30 hours of free early years education funded by North Yorkshire County Council and may attend the group until their entry into school.( Please note some 2 year olds maybe eligible for the free 15 hours funded places, please enquire for more details).
The Playgroup operates on a sessional basis. We meet each weekday during term-time(38 weeks per year). Our sessions are from 9.00am - 11.30am and 12.30pm - 3.00pm.( Your child can also stay for lunch at the end of the morning or beginning of the afternoon session if requested.
Funded children may attend for the full day.
